SJ 110 - Introduction to Social Justice 1.00
An initial survey course that increases students’ awareness and analysis of social justice across various groups, such as class, race, gender, sexuality, and the nation. We will explore the various meanings of justice, how inequality differs from justice, issues of power and privilege, and how various forms of justice are inter-related. Special attention will be paid to the role of advocacy and social movements in fighting for a more socially just world.
For first year, sophomores, declared majors, or with permission of instructor. Fall (Group I)
