Explores North American geology using the spectacular natural settings of national parks, monuments, seashores, battlefields and other areas. The natural history of these scenic areas forms the basis for the introduction and illustration of the fundamental principles, processes, and materials of geology. Students may not receive credit for both GEOL 109 and GEOL 110. No prerequisite.
