The biology of birds with emphasis on evolution, flight, behavior, and ecology. Field experience in identification, population studies, and bird banding. Students will learn to critically evaluate the ornithological literature and will choose one species of bird for intensive study. Lecture and laboratory. Prerequisite: BIOL 122 or permission of instructor. Spring (Group II)
