FIN 307 J - Topics: Financial Derivatives .50
Financial derivatives are specialized instruments that derive their value from another underlying asset. In this course we will study the characteristics, payoff structures, and hedging uses of the basic derivative types: futures, forwards, swaps, and options. Students should expect significant quantitative and mathematical work. (Previously listed as BUS 307 J). Pre-requisite: C- or better in either BUS/FIN 331 or BUS/FIN 361. Spring, second module, alternate years.
