FIN 307 L - Topics: Applications of Financial Software Tools and Financial Modeling .50
The module course covers the application of financial software tools and financial modeling. The course will include exposure to spreadsheet modeling, forecasting, market dynamics and sensitivity/scenario analysis, with an emphasis on real world applications used in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity and asset management.
a. Key topics will include: optimization solver, data graphing, financial modeling, forecasting, pivot tables, exponential smoothing and sensitivity analysis.
b. Emphasis will be placed on analysis and decision-making.
c. The course will involve four main modeling projects, one for each real world application.
