FIN 300 2 - Mergers & Acquisitions 1.00
The course focuses on the identification, design, analysis, and implementation of financial strategies targeted at repositioning, restructuring, or enhancing a firm’s competitive position. Course topics will cover mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, partnerships, divestitures, spin-offs, bankruptcies, reorganizations, and liquidations, as well as deal structure and financing options. The course will help students understand how corporate value can be created and destroyed through these strategies. The course will utilize valuation methodologies, financial statement and industry analysis, financial modeling and forecasting techniques. The course will be designed in part with real world case studies. Pre-requisite: FIN 361 or FIN 331. Spring
