The OWU Experience is an interdisciplinary course designed to introduce new students to the ways of thinking expected of students in the liberal arts and to the diverse intellectual community of Ohio Wesleyan. First-year students will meet in a small, informal group once a week with an OWU professor to learn about academic and other opportunities, discuss readings, attend campus events, and reflect on their own experience at a liberal arts college as it unfolds. Discussions and out-of-class events are intended to enhance awareness of the OWU experience and provide opportunities for students to explore potential academic paths, gain exposure to new perspectives, participate in community service, and take intellectual risks. First year students only.
