Topics covered include our relatedness to other living creatures, why and how we age, how our immune system works, mechanisms of genetic disease, the role of nutrition and lifestyle in health including heart disease, basic neurobiology and endocrinology, the hormonal biology of stress, and human reproduction including early development and sexual differentiation.
