UC 230 - The Transfer Connection

The Transfer Connection is an interdisciplinary course designed to introduce transfer students to the diverse intellectual community of Ohio Wesleyan. The class will meet in a small, informal group once a week with an OWU instructor to learn about transitioning to the OWU campus and engaging with the various opportunities, both academic and co-curricular, that are available. Students will discuss readings, attend campus events, and reflect on their first semester at OWU as it unfolds. Discussions and out-of-class events are intended to enhance awareness of the Ohio Wesleyan campus culture and to provide opportunities for students to explore potential academic paths, gain exposure to new perspectives, participate in community service, and take intellectual risks. Transfer students only. Fall and Spring.
