Students are engaged in communications work for a professional organization, such as a business, corporation or non-profit. Requirements: (a) Students engage in the work of the organization (not fetch coffee), (b) Complete 200 hours during the summer or 150 hours during the academic year while on campus, (c) Students obtain a letter from supervisor stating they performed work satisfactorily and worked at least the required number of hours, (d) Students submit a self-evaluation of their work. No more than 1.5 hours of credit may be earned toward the major. Graded satisfactory/no entry. Prerequisite: permission of the department chair.
