Integrating the Arts Integration in the Elementary Classroom assists students in learning how to integrate the arts into academic learning. The course draws on research from several disciplines to inform students’ understanding of integrating the arts in diverse educational settings. We will be exploring the arts as an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning. Topics include integrating arts across the curriculum, music, visual arts, dance and movement, dramatic arts, differentiating instruction for visual and performing arts, and promoting cultural diversity and equity through visual and performing arts instruction. Prerequisite: EDUC 251.
