In French 200.1 students build on what they have learned in French 111 and/or 230 while engaging with the themes of voyage and discovery both in theory and in

practice. Through sustained engagement with language, textual, and cinematic sources from the francophone world, they work towards honing their critical thinking, reading, writing, speaking, presentational, and cultural analysis skills in French.

This course counts toward the French major or minor and may be taken as an elective for International Studies or Film Studies. Prerequisite: FREN 111 or placement test. Group III: Humanities Diversity, Writing Option (with permission of instructor).
