Exhibition Practice introduces students to the history and operations of museums, with a focus on exhibit production using a research and collection-based exhibition strategy. Students will work with the Ross Art Museum and other artists and museum professionals in the area. They will also become familiar with various curatorial approaches and learn to research with campus collections, develop interpretive text, collaborate with stakeholders, as well as install and handle art. This class will have a hands-on exhibition development component. Classes will take place on-site at the Ross Art Museum and in other museums in the surrounding area.
