This course is the capstone for the Social Justice major. This Capstone seminar provides students an opportunity for in-depth exploration of a social justice related issue. The capstone is intentionally designed to stretch beyond disciplinary boundaries and engage students in integrative learning as they work to address complex, real-world social justice issues. By working in a small, multi-disciplinary group, integrative learning is fostered by the multiple perspectives, areas of knowledge, and modes of inquiry each individual brings to the group. Prerequisites: SOAN 279 and SJ 490 or SJ 495.
