COMM 313 - Conflict Management 1.00
Conflict is an inevitable part of our personal and professional lives. Although conflict can be destructive, it can also contribute to better understanding, increased innovation, improved decision-making, and relational and personal growth. Overall, this course is designed to provide a deeper understanding of conflict. More specifically, this course is designed to facilitate practical, theoretical, and critical analyses of the role of communication in conflict and conflict resolution. Students are provided the appropriate resources for managing and/or resolving conflict in a variety of interpersonal, intergroup, and mediated contexts, and emphasis is placed on the critical examination of contemporary local, national, and global conflicts.
