ECON 372 International Economics
This course provides an economic analysis of international trade, international resource flows, and open-economy macroeconomics under alternate exchange rate systems. It begins by introducing the various causes and consequences of trade, including comparative advantage, income variations, economies of scale, and product cycles. It then examines key socioeconomic issues surrounding capital flows, migration flows, and trade policies. Finally, the course looks at balance of payments, currency markets, and the role of exchange rates in the macroeconomics of internationally open economies.
