Each course in the sequence MUS 241 - MUS 247 is designed to meet the professional needs for teaching in that instrumental family. Performance, pedagogical, and maintenance skills on brass, percussion, stringed, or woodwind instruments are emphasized. Demonstrated competence is expected in performance by meeting a pre-determined level on specified instruments within each family and in pedagogy through completing supervised private and group instruction in a class setting.
