PG 363 Human Rights in International Perspective




An examination of the development of the international law of human rights by international organizations since 1945; Western and other important perspectives on human rights; and U.S. foreign policy with respect to civil, political, and economic and social human rights. Case studies of major human rights violations throughout the world and international reactions to those violations will constitute a major part of the seminar.
