REL 337 Anti-Semitism, Zionism, and the Holocaust




The Holocaust as a pivotal event in modern Jewish history and religion. Examination of the prelude to and aftermath of the murder of millions of Jews with special emphasis on its significance for Zionism, Judaism, and Christianity. The roots of the Holocaust in the long history of Western anti-Semitism will be traced, and various contemporary theological responses and interpretations of the event itself will be studied.
