BIOL 315 Herpetology




This course focuses on the natural history of two diverse vertebrate clades: reptiles and amphibians. Students will learn of the great diversity among species, the evolutionary patterns that shape this diversity, and the ecological significance of the many unique traits possessed by these taxa. The course will include traditional lectures, experiential and hands-on projects, and primary literature reading/discussion, and many field outings to engage with local herpetofauna.
