ECON 276 Health Economics
The study of healthcare markets and health behavior to explain health outcomes and disparities with the goal of learning how they can be improved through public policy. Among the topics covered are the theory of rational addiction, the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), market concentration among healthcare providers and insurers, adverse selection, and moral hazard. This course satisfies an elective requirement for majors in Economics, Management Economics, Social Justice, and Public Health.
