In consultation with an advisor and with approval of the department faculty and APC, interdepartmental majors may be arranged in such combinations as theatre, dance, and psychology (acting); dance, psychology, sociology, health and human kinetics (predance therapy); theatre and music (musical theatre); theatre and fine arts (design); theatre and English (playwriting and criticism); theatre or dance and economics/business (theatre or dance management); theatre, history, and foreign language (research); etc.

Majors may choose to concentrate in an area of interest such as design, performance, or dramatic literature, through the selection of elective courses. The department course offerings, by area, are as follows:
