Students will:
Demonstrate a general understanding of the levels of biological organization from the molecular to systems level.
Develop a strong factual foundation and a deeper understanding in a range of subjects in the biological sciences through advanced coursework.
Apply the scientific method including making careful observations, asking questions, generating hypotheses, designing and conducting sound, well-controlled experiments, and analyzing and interpreting results, including the use of appropriate statistics.
Demonstrate the ability to find, read, and critically evaluate scientific information including primary literature.
