Explores North American geology using the spectacular natural settings of national parks, monuments, seashores, battlefields and other areas. The natural history of these scenic areas forms the basis for the introduction and illustration of the fundamental principles, processes, and materials of geology. Does not count toward the major or minor. Not open to students with credit for GEOL 110. No prerequisite.
