EDUC 300 9 - Field Experience: Middle and High School Special Education (.50 unit)
Candidates will practice classroom teaching strategies, curriculum design, and assessment techniques for learners with mild to moderate learning exceptionalities in middle and high school inclusion classrooms. Emphasis is placed on the development of individualized education plans and corresponding strategies and activities, as well as application strategies including assessment techniques, choosing appropriate behavioral objectives in multiple curricular areas, construction of learning experiences, test administration and behavioral interventions. EDUC 300 8 to be taken concurrently. Prerequisites: PSYC 282 , EDUC 251 and admission to the teacher education program.
