HIST 357 - Topics in Early European History A topical inquiry at the advanced level into British History. Conducted as a readings colloquium, the course allows examination of one (or more) topics or themes in the history of the United Kingdom and its Empire/Commonwealth. The class studies the selected topic in depth, becoming familiar with primary and secondary authorities, standard works, interpretations and revisions, methodologies, and the historiographical context of the issues pertaining to the topics - as problems approach. (Group I)
