NEUR 362 Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience
This course examines the fundamental molecular and cellular properties of neurons and other cells of the nervous system. Topics include development of the nervous system, protein production and transport, biochemical properties of receptors and ion channels, neurotransmitter systems, and cellular signaling cascades, and mechanisms of synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity (the cellular basis of learning and memory). An optional laboratory (NEUR 362L ) is available.
