NEUR 362L Laboratory in Molecular & Cellular Neuroscience
In this course, you will apply a variety of molecular and cellular techniques (including fluorescent microscopy, Western blots, RNAi, and optogenetics) to study the importance of a protein of interest in neuronal functioning using the model organism C. elegans. Throughout the course, you will also become proficient in worm handling techniques and various assays used to assess the functionality of the nervous system in C. elegans.
