PG 373 - Freedom, Equality, and Democracy in American Political Thought This course examines the sources and nature of American political thought, tracing its origins to the religious traditions of early settlers, as well as classical liberal and republican theory. Emphasis is on the character of American ideology and democracy, the relationship between religion and politics, as well as contemporary critiques of the American political system.
