Human Resource management is a central function of any organization, as the critical source of competitive advantage for corporations is not their physical assets, but their people. It is people, not companies, who innovate, create new products, make decisions, develop and implement business plans, penetrate new markets, and serve clients and customers. Effective HR functions are strategic, linking all HR processes, procedures and initiatives with the strategic objectives of the organization can increase business revenue and profits. This course helps students to better understand the basics of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the impact it can have on the organization’s performance. Also, learn the elements, key concepts, terminology, and current trends of the HR function. C- or better in BUS 105 or equivalent, or permisson of instructor. Spring, first module
