This is a third semester Arabic course to be taught in the target language. It builds upon the linguistic skills and the cultural knowledge developed in ARAB 110 and 111, stressing improvement in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition, students will be introduced to various topics related to Arab culture, including ancient civilizations in the Arab world, Arabic countries and peoples, Arabic literature, art, food and religion. The overall aim is to help students continue to improve their basic Arabic language skills and to shed light on contemporary Arabic society and the richness of Arabic heritage.
