FREN 111 Beginning French II
This is the second part of an introductory language and culture course emphasizing five basic skills related to the French-speaking world: aural comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural comprehension. Upon completion of FREN 111, students should be able to speak and comprehend beginning and some intermediate-level sentences in French, demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of important cultural aspects of the global French-speaking world, read and understand beginning and some intermediate-level texts in French, and write using clear, simple sentence structures. This course is highly interactive, and students hone their ability to work in groups, navigate uncertainty, and develop communication and presentation skills.
