Fine Arts, BA, Studio Art with Licensure to Teach Art in Grades K-12 Major

Major Requirements

13 courses, studio and art history courses combined.

These shall include five core foundation courses

The declaration of major form will be submitted upon completion of ART 110 , ART 111 , ART 114 , and ART 115 by the end of the sophomore year.

Studio Requirement, media courses: four courses

two 2D upper level studio media courses from among:
two 3D upper level studio media courses from among:
- ART 358 Ceramics I
- ART 315 Book Arts I
- ART 360 Sculpture I
- ART 315 Book Arts I can only be counted once, either as one of the 2D studio media or 3D media required course. Two 2D or 3D media courses as electives.

Art History Requirement, upper level

BA Art Education students are highly encouraged and have an option to show their work with the graduating BFA students at the Senior Show Exhibition.
